Students of Texas International Academy (TIA) recently visited T Works, a premier prototyping center in Hyderabad, to engage in hands-on activities that would strengthen their profile-building activity. This visit was designed to expose students to cutting-edge technologies and collaborative projects that align with their aspirations to pursue BTech in the USA. Let’s take a look at the key highlights of their experience.

What is Profile Building?

For students who are planning to study abroad, profile building is a systematic process to develop various skills and projects to showcase their strengths and interests in the program they are applying for. This process helps students stand out from a stack of applications. The recent visit by TIA students to T Works is part of the profile-building process to increase the chances of getting into their dream University to Study BTech in the USA.

About T Works:

T Works is an initiative by the government of Telangana to encourage enthusiasts from across India to create prototypes of the physical products that they want to build without the fear of failure. It provides the infrastructure and resources required for manifesting innovative ideas. Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and 3D Printing are some of the amazing areas a visitor can explore at T works to level up their knowledge in the fields of science and technology.

Highlights of the Visit:

  • Robotics Department: Students explored how robots can solve real-world problems and were given a task to come up with prototypes using limited resources.
  • Creya Collaboration: Through a partnership with Creya Learning, students participated in workshops that integrated creativity with technology, helping them develop unique project ideas.
  • Prototyping for Solutions: Students engaged in developing projects equipped with gas detection sensors and dog protection sensors, aimed at addressing community safety concerns.
  • Certifications: To wrap up the experience, students received certifications acknowledging their participation and the skills they acquired during the visit.

How does this activity enhance a Study Abroad Profile?

As we all know, the admission process to Study BTech in the USA involves a lot of complex processes and the competition is extremely fierce. Good scores in academics, standardized tests like the SAT, and language proficiency exams like IELTS and TOEFL play a crucial role in a student’s admission process. However, a majority of students fulfill all these requirements and skip the profile-building process which makes them fall behind the race.

At Texas International Academy, we aim to guide each and every student to get as many opportunities as possible to enhance their overall study abroad profile so that they outrank all their competitors with ease. The recent activity at T Works is a part of our extensive profile-building process which spans two years during intermediate education.
